Kathryn & Nick | Pelican Preserve | Fort Myers, FL

Kathryn and Nick had a beautiful wedding with a Christmas touch at the Pelican Preserve in Fort Myers, FL. The weather was absolutely perfect and couldn’t have been nicer for a December day in Florida. I met Nick and Kathryn earlier in the year when they drove up to St. Petersburg for their engagement session. They were so easy-going and fun and I knew their wedding day was going to be the same way. Nick is a police officer and it was only fitting that Kathryn’s garters has a pair of handcuffs and ‘A police officer arrested my heart’. The ceremony was held outside at the amphitheater with live guitar music by Steve Farst. Nick lost a bet to one of his groomsmen and therefore, against his will, had a picture taken with an ‘I love the Cowboys’ sign even though he is a Giants fan! The reception was a lot of fun complete with a photobooth. Steve Farst was there to DJ but also switched to live music every once in awhile which was completely awesome! Everyone had a great time and the evening ended with the groom and members of Pi Kappa Alpha doing a choreographed dance to ‘Everytime We Touch’ by Cascada.
